Dr. Syme-Boswell first told me of the occur- rence of this species, he having taken it commonly; and Dr. Gill informs me that it formerly occurred plentifully on the Slopes. He has given me the following extract from Bouchard's diary:—"June 1st, 1857. Fifty dealbata [lineata], at Leigh." The species has now apparently disappeared.
