manniana and D. forskaleana. Common in hedges.
Argyrotoza conwayana. Southend.

P. pruniana, P. ochroleucana and P. variegana. Com-
mon.
P. gentiana. Slopes, and at Southend. Larvae very abun-
dant in teazle heads.
P. sellana. Slopes and Sea-wall.
Hedya ocellana, H. aceriana and H. dealbana ; Spilonota
trimaculana, S. rosaecolana, S. roborana and Pardia tri-
punctana. All common in the hedges.
Aspis udmanniana. Southend, Slopes and lanes; common
amongst bramble.
Sericoris littoralis. Salt marsh; abundant amongst thrift.
S. urticana and S. lacunana. Common everywhere amongst
nettles.
Roxana arcuana. Eastwood; common.
Euchromia purpurana. Sea-wall; not common.
Orthotaenia striana. Sea-wall; common.
Phtheocroa rugosana. Hedges near Leigh ; rare.
