FITCH, F.L.S., F.E.S. Ladies and Gentlemen,—The Address I delivered at the last Annual Meeting, referring to the work done, and to be accomplished, by our Club, has been so lately printed and distributed to our members (E. N., iii. 95 — 110), that I have thought it well not to recur to the subject on the present occasion. If, as I trust may be the case, the remarks made this time last year lead to our good work being continued and largely extended, I shall hope to have an opportunity of reviewing it, and again referring to our shortcomings. I will not say "if any," as there are sure to be some, and it is an advantage to have them brought to our notice. This at our next Annual Meeting, as I understand it is your wish to continue me in the Presidential chair for another year ; for this honour and for past support allow me to thank all most fully. I alluded also to the good fellowship existing between our members; this characteristic of our Club has not in any way suffered during the past year and it can only be wished that our Meetings may be as generally pleasant and even more instructive in this new year as in the one we have just left behind.
