Male pores on segment 15 as in Lumbricus. Tubercula pubertatis variable: absent, on alternate segments, or forming a band along part or whole of the ventral side of the clitellum. Colour more variable than in Lumbricus: red-brown, rose-red, flesh, sienna-brown, yellow, green, or grey. First dorsal pore either between segments 3 and 4, or posterior to this.
