Assembled in the upper room of the Lodge at 2.30 o'clock, the party was received by the President, who welcomed the members of the Gilbert White Fellowship who were present. The Hon. Secretary then gave an account of the building itself, and of its contents, and, on behalf of the Committee, presented to those present souvenir-copies of an illustrated guide ("An Account of Queen Elizabeth's Lodge (Chingford) and of the Epping Forest Museum") which had been written by him, and which would henceforth be on sale to visitors to the Museum. The company afterwards entered upon a detailed inspection of the exhibits. Tea was taken at the adjoining Royal Forest Hotel at 4 o'clock, following which the members dispersed. ORDINARY MEETING (592ND MEETING). SATURDAY, 28TH FEBRUARY, 1925. The fourth Winter Meeting was held, as usual, in the Physics Lecture Theatre of the Municipal College, Romford Road, Stratford, the President, Sir A. Smith Woodward, F.R.S., in the chair. 43 members attended. The following were elected members of the Club, viz. :— Miss Kathleen Raine, of 1, Hamilton Gardens, Barkingside, Ilford. Mr. Ernest H. Bruce, of 11, Mayfield Avenue, Woodford Green. Mr. William H. Ryde, of 41, Vernon Road, Leytonstone, E.11. Mr. Sidney W. Wooldridge, M.Sc., F.G.S., Geological Department, King's College, Strand, W.C.2. In anticipation of the Annual Meeting, nominations were invited to fill vacancies on the Council. Four existing Members were due to retire in rotation, viz., Miss Willmott, Mr. Briscoe, Mr. Gerald Buxton and Mr. J. E. Harting. Nominations were thereupon made as under:— Mr. Gerald Buxton, proposed by Mr. Avery, seconded by Mr. Paulson. Miss E. Willmott, proposed by Mr. Daun, seconded by Mrs. Boyd Watt. Mr. A. E. Mr. Stephen Barns, proposed by Mr. Thompson, seconded by Mr. Campbell. The existing Officers of the Club were nominated en bloc by the Council for re-election. The announcement that Sir Arthur Smith Woodward was willing to serve a third term in the Presidential Chair was enthusiastically received. Miss G. Lister exhibited under the microscope specimens of Listerella, a rare Mycetozoan occurring on the podetia of Cladonia sylvatica, from near Warsaw. Mr. Avery exhibited and described some 50 Essex topographical prints and portraits from his collection.
