MILLER CHRISTY—AN OBITUARY. 111 This is not the place for an extended list of Christy's papers, which included such widely differing subjects as Manitoba, the History of Banking in Essex, Fire-raising Methods and Appliances, Oven Clocks, Essex Erases, the Trade Signs of Essex, Deneholes, Roman Roads in Essex, in addition to a number of communications on natural history matters to the Field, Zoologist, Journal of Botany, Journal of Ecology, New Phytologist, Journal of the Linnean Society and other journals ; he compiled Durrant's Handbook for Essex, and wrote many of the articles in the Victoria County History, and he was one of the founders of, and a frequent contributor to, the Essex Review.
