Treasurer presented his statement of the Club's accounts for 1929 and formally moved that it be received and adopted; Mr. Barns seconded, complimenting Mr. Avery on his very successful control of the Club's finances; on being put to the meeting, the motion was carried unanimously with an expression of thanks to the Hon. Treasurer. The President announced that, no further nomination having been received to that of Lieut.-Colonel Sir David Prain, C.M.G., C.I.E., F.R.S., that gentleman was duly elected President of the Club for the ensuing year; the announcement was received with warm applause. No further nominations having been made, the President declared that Sir Robert Armstrong-Jones, Miss A. Hibbert-Ware and Miss E. Willmott were duly elected Members of the Council. The existing Officers of the Club having been nominated for re-election at the meeting on February 22nd, and no further nominations having been received, the President declared them duly re-elected to their respective offices, viz.:— Hon. Treasurer, Mr. John Avery, F.C.A. Hon. Librarian, Mr. Stephen J. Barns. Hon. Secretary, Mr. Percy Thompson. F.L.S Hon. Editor, Mr. Percy Thompson, F.L.S. Hon. Asst. Curator at Queen Elizabeth's Lodge, Mrs. Vera Smith. Mr. C. Hall Crouch and Mr. Colney Campbell were re-elected as Auditors for 1930-31. On the recommendation of the Council, it was agreed that Mr. J. Rams- bottom, O.B.E., etc., be elected an Honorary Member of the Club, in appre- ciation of his services for many years past as Conductor at the Annual Fungus Forays. The President then delivered his Presidential Address, entitled "Some Biological Problems as Illustrated by the Entomostraca," which he illus- trated by lantern photographs and diagrams. At its conclusion, Mr. Paulson voiced the thanks of the meeting to the President for his Address, and asked that it might be published in the Club's journal. The members warmly applauded the suggestion and the President expressed his thanks for their reception of his address. He concluded some valedictory remarks by inviting his successor to assume the Chair, which Sir David Prain accordingly did, amid general applause. This concluded the business and the meeting was declared closed at 5 o'clock. REPORT OF THE COUNCIL. Presented to the Annual Meeting, March 29TH, 1930. Ladies and Gentlemen, The Council wishes to congratulate the members sincerely on the attainment by the Club of its Jubilee. Fifty years is a respectable age for any local institution, and it is matter for considerable satisfaction that our Club has persisted, and continues in full vitality, notwithstanding the disturbance caused by the Great War. The events connected with the Jubilee Commemoration are so recent that it is unnecessary to refer
