Following a brief ordinary meeting of the Club, held to transact routine business only, the President and Mrs. Scour- field took up their positions in the College Entrance Hall to welcome the Mayor and Mayoress of West Ham, who duly ar- rived at five minutes before three o'clock, when the necessary introductions were effected. From 3 o'clock until 3.30, a joint reception was held in the Great Hall by the Mayor and Mayoress and the President and Mrs. Scourfield, the guests being individually announced and presented.
