Herbarium of c. 150 sheets, presented by him to the Club. Date of gift not recorded, but referred to at a meeting of the Club on 4 November, 1893, when the Secretary stated that the gift had been made many years previously. The Club was founded in 1880, so, presumably, the gift must have been made between that year and early 1883, when Gibson's death occurred. E.N. 7, 180, 1893. Herbarium presented to the Club upon the death of Laver by his son. Correspondence in the Club's records. Essex Review 26, 204, 1917. Moore, William. No biographical details available. Herbarium of e. 600 sheets, collected chiefly between 1880 and 1885 within a radius of five miles from Felsted (Essex) Church and a radius of four miles of Rochester (Kent) Castle. Moore went to Assam and wrote from thence, on 27 July, 1897, to the (Tub offering the loan of his collection for a period of 10 years, the collection to become the property of the Club if not claimed at the expiry of that period. Apparently, the herbarium was not claimed, for it remains in the possession of the Club, although no later record con- cerning it appears in the Club's Journal. Correspondence in the Club's records.
