From July 19 to August; two from Weeley. Common Footman (Lithosis lurideola). From July 20 to September; very common at Colchester, East Mersea and Weeley. White Ermine (Spilosoma lubricipeda). From May 25 to July; common at Colchester, Little Clacton, Weeley and Witham. Water Ermine (Spilosoma urticae). From June 11 onwards; one each, East Mersea, Little Clacton and Weeley. Buff Ermine (Spilosoma lutea). From June 7 onwards; twelve from Colchester, Little Clacton, Little Oakley and Weeley. Muslin Moth (Cycnia mendica).
