14. A kindred organisation, approved by the Council, may be Affiliation
affiliated to the Club on payment of a minimum subscription of
30/-, the amount to be determined by the Council. Such organisa-
tion shall be entitled to receive publications of the Club on the
same basis as Ordinary Members. An affiliated organisation,
through its Secretary or other accredited representative, shall be
entitled to exercise a right of one vote at the Club's meetings, and
to borrow books from the Library. Contributions submitted by an
affiliated organisation shall be considered for publication in The
Essex Naturalist on the same basis as those submitted by Members.
Members of an affiliated organisation may attend meetings of the
Club.
15. Members, and affiliated organisations, wishing to resign at the Resignation
termination of any year are required to notify the Secretary in
writing of their intention on or before 1st November. Failure to
do so shall render the Member, or affiliated organisation, liable for
the subscription for the ensuing year.
16. A record shall be kept of the proceedings at all meetings of Minutes and
the Club. Minutes shall be kept at each Annual General Meeting Proceedings
and shall be read at the next Annual General Meeting.
17. The Annual General Meeting shall be held in March, when the Annual General
Report of the Council and the accounts, including an account of the Meeting
past year's income and expenditure, duly signed by the Auditor,
shall be read.
18. The Council may at any time, and shall upon a request signed Special
by not less than twelve Members, convene a Special Meeting. A Meetings
copy of the agenda shall be sent by post to every Member at least
ten days before the date of such Meeting.
19. The accounts of the Club shall be made up to December 31st Accounts
in each year and shall be audited by a Chartered Accountant to be
appointed by the Council.
20. The Passmore Edwards Museum (Essex Museum of Natural Museum and
History), and its Library (developed from the Club's collection and Library
vested in the Governors of the Passmore Edwards Museum by an
Agreement with the Corporation of West Ham, dated May 21st,
1956), may be used by Members of the Club in accordance with the
said Agreement.
21. No Rule shall be altered or repealed, nor shall any addition be Alteration of
made to the Rules, except by a majority of the Members present Rules
at an Annual General Meeting or a Special Meeting, details of the
proposed alteration having been sent by post to every Member
at least ten days before the date of the Meeting.
