Sthenelais boa (Johnston) One from grab sample at station TC.2 (12.8.60) and occasional records subsequently. This is a large member of the family and can grow up to 20 cm. in length. Phyllodocidae Phyllodoce sp. Specimen from the Bradwell shore (January 1958). Eulalia viridis (O. F. Muller) One record only from Bradwell Creek. Eulalia sanguinea Oersted Fairly common on sandy shores beneath stones. Bradwell shore (8.6.63 and 11.6.63), Mersea, Flat and St. Peter's Flats (8.6.63). Eulalia sp. Several specimens from mud in Bradwell Creek, 1961 and '62. Eteone longa (Fabricius) Specimens from Bradwell shore, January 1960. Eteone flava (Fabricius) Specimens from Bradwell shore, April 1958. Syllidae Autolytus sp. Larvae in plankton samples (1960 and 1961). Nereidae Nereis pelagica (Linne) Common in soft mud in Bradwell Creek and probably present in similar localities in other parts of the area. Nereis diversicolor O. F. Muller Common in mud and under stones on most shores from Maldon down to Mersea Flat and St. Peter's Flats. Nereis fucata (Savigny) One specimen taken from fouling on a ship anchored in the Blackwater (25.4.1960). Nereis virens Sars Occasional in grab samples, Bradwell Creek. Station 3. in 1963 and also in Bradwell Power Station water intake culvert (August 1963). Nereis longissima Johnston One record only: from Bradwell Creek.
