COUNCIL REPORTS 115 Lectures During the autumn a number of club members contributed towards an evening course of 12 lectures to patients at Warley Hospital, on General Natural History. Several groups of Brownies and Guides in the Chelmsford area have had talks on wildlife. Members have also given lectures to several other organisations, including Writtle Agricultural College. Publications Volume 32, Part 5, of the Essex Naturalist was issued in January under the editorship of Mr E. B. Pinniger and two issues of the Club's informal Bulletin were edited by Mr R. Masefield. The Programme Card was issued in March and October, to coincide with the distribution of the Bulletin. THE COUNCIL would like to thank all those who have contributed to the numerous activities during 1973, especially to those who have led meetings, helped with displays, contributed to the publications and supported the meetings. Finally, we must not forget those kind ladies who have given up time to provide tea and refreshments at our indoor meetings.
