96 THE BIRDS OF ESSEX. Family MOTACILLIDAE. White Wagtail: Motacilla alba. A rare straggler, chiefly in spring or summer, to the southern parts of Britain. It occurs, without doubt, occasionally in Essex, at Rougham Hall, Suffolk, in 1885, and are now shown with their nest in the dead body of another " Hoody " in a glass case. If Tits were substituted for Wrens in the accompanying cut, it would exactly represent this second case.
