AN INVITATION The Club has received the following invitation from the Natural History Society of the Writtle Institute of Agriculture (formerly the Essex Institute of Agriculture): We would like to extend a cordial invitation to members of the Essex Field Club to attend a lecture on 'Wildfowl Conservation' to be given by Dr. Jeffrey Harrison, O.B.E., M.A., M.B.O.U., F.Z.S. at the Writtle College of Agriculture at 7.00 p.m. on November 15th 1972. As you are no doubt aware, Dr. Harrison is an international authority on wildfowl conservation, and is Vice-Chairman and Director of W.A.G.B.I., as well as being associated with many other conservation bodies. Slides to illustrate the meeting will be presented by Mrs. Harrison, who is a photographer for several country magazines. Those interested should send a SAE to Mr. R. Mellors at the College as soon as possible. Tickets are limited and only in exceptional circumstances will more than two tickets be sent to one person. R. Vernon (Secretary, Natural History Society). This will be a lecture not to be missed by all interested in conservation in general, and in particular those having an interest in ornithology and wildfowl. The meeting will be in the main hall, and there will be plenty of parking space. Buses Nos. 32 and 43 from Chelmsford railway station stop at Writtle Green, a short distance from the college.
