We continued until we reached
our finishing point at Ryehill.
Here all the drivers filled Ron
Allen's car and made for High Beach
to pick up their own cars, then
to return to collect the rest of
the party.

A TALK ON LAPIDARY.
29 members and friends attended
this indoor meeting at Stratford
Precinct on 19th January 1974.
This very interesting talk
was given by Mr. Lister of the
Essex Rock & Mineral Society.
The Lecture was an exchange lecture
with the Society in return for one
given by Mr. Ron Allen.
Mr.Lister explained what Lapidary
was. He went on to give full details
of the processes involved, starting
with "Tumbling" and finally with
more modern methods.
The Demonstration bench was
filled with many different kinds
of Gem stones, all named, and some
