Page -3- Habitat Digest With this issue of the Bulletin you should find the first of new newsletter called Habitat Digest. Habitat, the long standing newsletter of the Council for Nature is distributed to member organisations and those on the reading circle have a chance to see it. Habitat Digest, however, is provided in quantity free to member organisations and contains summaries of the contents of Habitat so keeping everybody informed of Natural History and Conservation matters. Reading Circle. Mrs. Laura Dark of 74 Warescot Road, Brentwood, Essex is now distributing the Reading Circle of literature received by the Club including Habitat. The Circle is free. The Essex Journal is now available to members on a reading circle from Mrs. Dark. This is the journal of the Essex Archaeological and Historical Congress. The current issue contains articles on Salt Making in Prehistoric Europe, The Defence of Chelmsford, Medieval Houses in Essex, the Abbey Forge, Waltham Abbey and news items.
