OBITUARY It is with very deep regret that we learn, just before going to press, of the sudden death on the 23rd of September, 1973, of Mr. S.T. Jermyn, known to everyone as Stan. An ardent member of the Club for many years, Stan was one of the County's foremost botanists; his life-work, "The Flora of Essex" was nearing publication. His enthusiasm and work as the Secretary-Treasurer of the Essex Naturalists Trust were prodigious; he is going to be missed by his very many friends. The Essex Field Club extends most sincere sympathies to Mrs. Jermyn and Richard in this saddening blow.
