24. LETTER TO THE EDITOR November 1976 Dear Bobron, We would be most grateful if you could find room in the next issue of the Field Club Bulletin to express our thanks to the kind person who found my on's watch and handed it to Mr. Parker. We were bird watching on the sea wall at Goldhanger when Gavin lost the watch. It was a new present from his Grand- parents and he had not had it a week, so you can imagine our delight at finding Mr. Parker had had it handed to him. There were a lot of people in the party and we haven't been able to discover who actually found it for us and so have not been able to thank them as we would wish. The date concerned was 31st October. Yours sincerely, Christine Darby BIRDS OF WANSTEAD PARK The 1976 Report on the Birds of Wanstead Park and Area is now available, price 50p plus 15p postage and packing, from: "Bird Reports", Wren Conservation Group, 597A Barking Road, Plaistow, E13 9EZ The publication lists and gives information on the 98 species of bird recorded in and around Wanstead Park during 1976.
