Fing ringhoe Wick had over 20 singing males , and Friday
Wood will be visited again in 1982.

1st July PEREGRINE FALCON. TL 440092. K. Claydon, The
recorder sent in a very detailed description of this bird,
and there is no reason to doubt this very interesting record.

20th July NIGHT JAR - at least 2 birds were heard
"Churring" in an Essex Locality. This is now a bird only
heard in a very few localities in Essex. M.T.P.
20th July 3 BRAMBLINGS were reported in a garden at
Stondon Massey. 576010. This is a very interesting
record as BRAMBLINGS are more often seen during the winter

21st July HOBBY. A bird bred in Essex in one locality.
This is a rare record for Essex, very few have been
recorded as having bred. M.T.P.

6th September FEMALE PLED FLYCATCHER. TL 429005 Epping
Forest. PLED FLYCATCHERS are frequently reported on their
return migration. K. Claydon.
20th September WHEATEAR - Manningtree Sea Wall. WHEATEARS
are frequently seen particularly in September on return
