There were many different gun-flint sizes, the
three principal sizes being illustrated full-
size in figure 6. Most of the rifle-flints
were exported to the U.S.A. for their sporting
flint-lock gun competitions: some, in fact, st
are. Exports to Africa for native tribes were
at one time banned as "weaponry".
