Resident Volunteer Wardens required for Colne
Point Nature Reserve
The Reserve, of about 650 acres, consists of
marine habitats - a salt marsh, protected from
the sea by extensive shingle ridges, immature
sand dunes and extensive intertidal flats.
The Essex coast has been suffering from over-
development in recent years and Colne Point is one
of the remaining natural coastal areas in this
region. The Reserve supports an internationally
and nationally important flora and fauna, and
