38 PRAYER AND NATURE STUDY One of our members, the Rev'd Nigel Cooper, is organising three retreats which will combine field work during the day and discussion and prayer in the evening. There will be a daily ecumenical Eucharist. He and a friend are leading one on the Isle of Arran, 7th to 10th October, 1989. Canon Charles Shells will be leading the one at Glastonbury 29th May to 2nd June and at Llangasty, Brecon Beacons, 19th to 26th August. They have a moveable circular stage, substage condenser and mirror, and a rotating turret capable of taking 4 standard-thread objective lenses. A x40 and x10 objective and a x10 eyepiece are available with each microscope and are of excellent optical quality. Ideal for someone wanting a general purpose microscope for identifying insects, algae, mosses, etc. They can be fitted with a x95 oil immersion lens for really high power work.
