62 In the afternoon we looked at the specimens i a laboratory under both stereo and other microscopes. The following species were recorded:- Arcyria denudata Arcyria incarnata Ceratiomyxa fruticulosa Comatricha nigra Cribraria argillacea Physarum nutans Physarum viride Trichia favoginea Trichia scabra Trichia varia A Cribraria was also found which may be C. piriformis, but this has still to be confirmed. Whatever it turns out to be, it not one of the species on the list for the Forest published in 1970 in "The Essex Naturalist".
