16 NATIONAL TRUST EAST ANGLIA COAST AND COUNTRYSIDE FUND This appeal, launched by the Trust in March, is of particular interest to Field Club members as, hopefully, the first purchase to arise will be Copt Hall, an area of 400 acres on the Blackwater of great importance for over- wintering wildfowl. GLIMPSES OF THE PAST (IV) When I became Minuting Secretary I was passed a thick book in which to write the A.G.M. minutes. This volume was started in 1936 and the first page reads:— "The 754th Ordinary Meeting of the Club was held at 3 o'clock on Saturday, 25th January 1936, in the Physics Lecture Theatre of the Municipal College, Romford Road, Stratford, with the President, Mr. William E. Glegg, F.Z.S., M.B.O.U., in the Chair. Forty members attended.
