As at Fishers Green early in the year the highlight was several sightings of Kingfishers, indeed they could be said to have been putting on a show for us, especially one who caught his lunch as we watched. The tide was too full for wader watching, but a Green Sandpiper was feeding in the scrape and one late Tern was sitting on a buoy in the estuary. In total we saw 34 species including Little Grebe, Cormorant, Heron, Mallard, Teal, Tufted Duck, Pochard, Shelduck, Redshank, Oyster Catcher, Snipe, Curlew, Swallow, Great, Blue and Long-Tailed Tits, Greenfinch, Bullfinch and Goldfinch.
