11 Russula fellea Russula fragilis Russula ionochlora Scleroderma citrinum It is interesting to note that some the commonest fungi were not found this year. They includes:- Laccaria laccata Laccaria amethystea Russula mairei Russula ochroleuca The interesting finds were:- Pleuteus leoninus This can be easily recognised by the pink spore print, growing on deciduous wood, gills not attached to the stem, and the yellow colours combined with the filamentous cap cuticle. Hohenbuehelia astrocoerulea This grows on deciduous wood and has no stem. It is tongue or mussel shaped, has crowded gills and a grey cap covered with white down. Resupinatus applicatus This is a small grey gilled fungus without any stem, growing on dead wood and has white spores. It probably gets overlooked because of its subdued colour and its small size.
