P. finitimella (Zell.) Res., 1907-1980. Prunus spinosa. Distribution and degree of abundance
uncertain. The early stages are indistinguishable from those of P. torquillella. Pierce found P.
finitimella to be the more common species at Mucking, but my experience has been the
opposite. Both may be equally c. and some of the records I have ascribed to P. torquillella may
belong to P. finitimella.
