(*): On bark of a wide range of trees but mainly in sheltered situations and most frequent on Salix; the largest specimens found were at Baldwins Pond (26 mm diam) and Wintry Wood (25 mm diam). P subrudecta Nyl.: Paulson & Thompson. Records of P. borreri (Sm.) Turner are tenatatively referred here. P. sulcata Taylor: On bark and wood, frequent but generally as young thalli less than 20 mm diam, older ones being restricted to Salix in sheltered sites. The largest found were in Wintry Wood (to 53 mm diam). Peltigera lactucifolia (With.) Laundon: Crombie. Records of P. polydactyla (Necker) Hoffm, most probably referred to this species. (*): On Ulmus log, Wanstead Park, 1985, Plant (specimens to 8 mm tall; conf. Skinner); on Salix in sheltered situations, rare. Baldwins Pond (1 specimen 8 mm tall). R. fastigiata (Pers.)
