1403a Duponchelia fovealis Zell. Kirby-le-Soken, September (P. Bergdahl det.:
B. Goodey). Second British specimen. Not known to migrate, this is
essentially a Mediteranean species which has an outpost in the
Netherlands and may have become established in Britain. New to Essex.

1454 Dioryctria abietella D. & S. Jon Young noted a possible immigration at
Jaywick during August, recording 25 - 30. There were other reports during
this month from as far afield as Ingatestone, Coggeshall and Saffron
