meadow with 30-50 plants flowering each year.

Has persisted at this one site, only, on the Downs until the present day.
32 flowering and 30 non-flowering rosettes, 1998. Belinda Wheeler. 6
flowering plants at usual site and 34 flowering plants at a nearby site
generated from scattering of 1998 seeds, 1999 [site now being managed]
[Elizabeth Matson keeps a stock growing in her nearby vegetable garden
as a source of seed].
