Dianthus deltoides L.
Maiden pink
This attractive pink, commonly grown in gardens is still regarded as native on the sandy heaths of the
Suffolk Breckland, and it is possible that some of the following records arose as a result of seed from
native stock giving rise to ephemeral colonies, rather than from gardens. In the Scarce Plants Atlas the
pre-1970 records for TL52, TL93, TM01 and TM03 are regarded as native.
