Review of the Lepidoptera of Essex for the year 2001

Introduction
The following is a selection of the more interesting records received in the county for the year
2001. Four new species were added to the Essex list. Work on The Moths of Essex, which is being
sponsored by Essex Field Club, is nearing completion and it should be ready by autumn 2002.
