Brian Ecott, det; Ken Adams [from computer scan image!] Material collected in February 2003 from the same pond, was well grown and bright green, but sterile, with equally developed primary and secondary cortex rows, and spine cells either vestigial or at the most small papillae, - coming within the range of the vulgaris expression, [by May 2003 the population had reverted to the longibracteata expression, and was growing with rafts of the alga Rhizoclonium hieroglyphicum.
