Habitat preferences of three Chorthippus species (Orthoptera: Acrididae) in the Chelmsford area
The combined densities per m2 of all Chorthippus species was highest at Mill Green Common and
Sturgeon's Track (Table 2). Low combined densities were in evidence at agricultural sites such as
Writtle Set-aside and Long Meadow. However, individual species differed in their site preferences.
