Essex erratic boulders: a gazetteer
remarkable for the erratic boulders and cobbles it contains. In the long grass on the opposite side
of the road is a sarsen (80x60x30).
Widdington
Al the road junction north of the village (TL 533322) is a puddingstone (140x100x40) (see Plate
7) standing upright on the corner of a wooded traffic island. It is now in danger of being damaged
by passing lorries.
