The vascular plant flora of the anthills at Old Hall Marshes
The maximum number of species recorded on any one anthill was 17, whilst the lowest was 4 as
shown in Table 3.

When the 10 anthills in each plot arc aggregated, the number of species per plot varies from 15 to
25. It is likely that on plots A, B, C and H the species present could be higher due to the inability to
record the early spring flora, but whilst plot H does have the lowest diversity, plots A and B are
above the average of 19.5 species per plot. Table 4 lists the number of species per plot.
