Species text
Agrilus angustulus is a small green beetle that is widespread but scarce in central and southern England. The larvae bore in the dying branches of oak, particularly those on which the leaves are still attached. Adults are active in hot, sunny weather. Open glades and ride margins should be cut on rotation to retain a variety of vegetation structures (Hyman & Parsons 1992). References
