Species text
This money spider is widespread, but local throughout coastal Britain. However relatively few records exist from continental Europe, suggesting that the British populations are of international importance (Harvey et al. 2020). This is clearly shown by the distribution map in Decleer & Bosmans (1989). The spider lives exclusively in coastal habitats such as saltmarshes and under rocks or tidal debris on rocky or muddy shores. References
