Species text
Lamprochernes chyzeri has been found in scattered localities in England, but the paucity of records has probably been due to confusion with L. nodosus (Legg & Jones, 1988). It occurs beneath the bark of old trees such as beech and birch and is phoretic on flies. An occurrence at a site in Basildon in 2005 appears to be the first record for Essex. References
