Limnoxenus niger is a shiny black water beetle inhabiting weed choked ditches in grazing levels ditches and also in peat fens in the Somerset Levels. It is recorded mainly from the grazing levels of the Thames Marshes, the Sussex and Somerset Levels (Recorder species account). References
