Magdalis cerasi is a very local small black weevil found in woodland edge and hedgerows in Southern Britain. The larvae are woodborers in dead twigs and small branches of hedgerow rosaceous shrubs, in particular blackthorn, hawthorn, pear, apple and rowan. References
