Mimumesa (Psen) unicolor was only formally added to the British list in 1994 (Else & Felton 1994), although the species was first taken in 1950. It is confined to South Hampshire, West Sussex, the Isle of Wight and the East Thames Corridor (Knowles & Roberts 2002), which holds a nationally important metapopulation. The wasp is associated with Phragmites areas, and has been found visiting Carrot Daucus carota and Parsnip Pastinacea sativa. References
