Genuinely scarce in Essex. Recorded from Basildon and Epping Forest.

Species text
This is a cranefly of sandy river banks. A strong southern and eastern bias is evident in the distribution, although records extend northwards to Scotland. There are only two previous records for Essex, one from Epping Forest (post 1990) and one from Basildon. (pre 1990). References
