Species text
This large bronze rove beetle is widespread but local in England. It has been found in woodland on dry sandy soils, sandy and chalky fields, heathland, fens, beaches and coastal cliff slippages. The beetle is usually found on the ground in dry grassy places and has been found at the roots of marram. References
