Species text
Phyllobius vespertinus is a brownish green leaf weevil recorded from East Kent to South-east Yorkshire, as well as from South Lancashire and Cumberland. It is predominantly coastal and recorded from saltmarsh, coastal shingle and estuaries. An association with Artemisia maritima has been recorded but the species is polyphagous (Morris, 1997). The larvae probably feed on the roots of the foodplant. References
