Species text
There is only two modern Essex record of this species. However pseudoscorpions are not a particularly well recorded group in the county, so it may be more widespread than otherwise indicated. Nationally the species has widely scattered records, and favours rich decaying organic material and is often found in synanthropic habitats such as compost, manure and straw debris, although it is also found in leaf litter and dead wood (Legg & Jones, 1988).
