Species text
This is a predominatly southern species, records available to Kirby (1992) suggesting centres of distribution in the East Anglian fens and the damper heaths of the southern counties from Surrey and Sussex to Dorset. It is typically recorded from fens, the wetter parts of heaths and marshy grassland. Marsh Thistle Cirsium palustre is regarded as one host. References
