Species text
The small predacious ladybird Scymnus femoralis is widespread but local in southern and eastern England, and very local outside this area, recorded as far north as North East Scotland. It is found in grassland and woodland rides, particularly on sandy or calcareous soils, where it is found at the roots of grasses and low-growing plants. Management is needed to maintain open conditions. References
