The weevil Tychius breviusculus is (in part) what older works had as ‘haematopus’ or ‘crassirostris’, but is effectively a newly (recently) recognized British species. It is known so far from 2 Essex sites (Canvey Northwick and Bradwell Waterside) and a couple of sites in Kent/Sussex(P. Hammond, pers. comm.). It is strictly associated with Melilotus. References
